Head Measuring Guide - Wig sizes

Wigs from the Revlon Select Fit collection are completely adjustable so you do not need to worry about the size.  The other collections come in a range of sizes.  All of these wigs are adjustable to approximately plus or minus one inch and the Average size wig will fit 90% of women.

To decide on your size, measure your head in three places using a cloth tape measure.  (You might want to first check its accuracy against a metal tape.)  We are using inches in this guide.

1. Measure the circumference of your head.  Measure along your natural hairline at the front and just above your ears and around the back of your head to the bend in your neck.

2. Measure from the front to the back.  Measure from your natural hairline in front over the top of your head to the nape of your neck.

3. Measure from ear to ear.  Starting in front of one ear where your hairline ends, measure over the top of your head to the front of your other ear.

The following table shows approximately how these measurements relate to the wig sizes and you should pick the size that most closely matches your actual measurements.  If all three of your measurements do not match exactly to one on the size chart, choose the size that corresponds to the largest measurement.  Remember that all wigs can be adjusted to some extent.

Wig Colours

Our wigs come in a variety of colours however not each wig is available in each colour.  Our colours page shows our full colour range.  You can click on or select a colour on the page to see all of our wigs that are available in that colour.

Wig Construction

Our Revlon Simply Beautiful collection has a single layer ultra fine mesh "monofilament" fabric (A) which takes on the appearance of your own natural skin tone by allowing it to show through.  This can look better on darker skin tones.

Soft, translucent, polyurethane strips (B) are added in specifically customised positions in order to prevent slippage, enhance the natural appearance and maintain the original styling.  The polyurethane material also provide secure tape adhesion if desired.

Elastic lace (C) allows the cap to stretch and adjust to different head sizes and shapes.

A delicate hand-tied (D) front hairline frames the face for a soft, natural look.

Contoured side ear tabs (E) are covered with delicate lace and keep the style close to your face.

Smooth Velcro closures (F) adjust easily for a custom fit that's just right for you.

Our Revlon Select Fit range has an adjustable cap that lets you select the fit that's just right for you.  Simply pull the adjustable Velcro tabs to create the right fit.

Four adjustable tabs extend from the crown to the nape of the wig while two adjustable tabs run across the back hairline.

Wig Care Instructions

Acrylic wigs should only be washed in like warm water with a mild shampoo - something like baby shampoo.

Fill a bowl up with water.  Rinse the wig but never rub the wig.  Add the shampoo and wash.  Rinse under a shower head.  Squeeze out the water and pat dry then leave on a wig stand or somewhere flat to dry overnight.  Allow to dry totally before wearing.

If the wig is becoming dry a spray conditioner formulated for wigs can be used.

Please note: do not use direct heat, such as a hairdrier or straightening tongs, on acrylic wigs.  Direct heat will singe the hair.

We have a simple 3 stage process for buying online: Stage 1 is where you browse The Collection and add items to your basket.  Stage 2 is our preliminary checkout where you can view and review what you have in your basket and delete items if required.  If you decide to purchase you move to Stage 3 which is the secure payment checkout where you give PayPal your contact and card details.

Stage 1- The Catalogue and Shopping Area

Our catalogue is divided into a number of categories (e.g. Revlon) and sub-categories (e.g. the Simply Beautiful Collection).  You can select the category that you wish to browse by using the navigation menu down the left hand side of each page  If you select a main category the page will repeat links to the relevant sub-categories and show brief details of a small selection of items from the category.  If you select a sub-category the page will show you brief details of a number of items from the sub-category.  You can see brief details of other, or all, products in the sub-category by using the navigation bar within the page.

If you wish to see more information about a product then click on the product picture or appropriate link and you will see the individual product page.

An individual product page for a wig will show the available colours for that wig.  Use the left/right arrows to scroll through the images of the colours.  The centre colour will show an expanded version on the page and this will be the colour selected should you decide to purchase the wig.  If you decide to purchase please ensure that this colour is the one you require.

If you want to purchase an item then you should click the "Add to basket" link.  You will then see the contents of your shopping basket including this item and any other items you have already selected during your visit.  You can continue shopping by following the appropriate links.

A short summary of your shopping basket contents is shown at the top left hand of each page.  You can proceed to checkout at any time by following the link under this summary or use the Checkout link at the right of the top navigation bar.

Stage 2 - Checkout and basket review

This preliminary checkout page gives you a summary of your order.   You can access this page from the Checkout link on our top navigation bar or from the link under the shopping basket summary.  You will also see this page if you select an "Add to basket" link on a product page.  At this point you can review your order or, if you wish, remove items or empty the whole basket using the appropriate REMOVE button .   You can also change the number of identical items in your basket by changing the quantity and using the "Update quantities" button.

If you wish to purchase the items in your basket, you can do by using a debit or credit card or other PayPal payment methods using the PayPal secure server.  Please select the PROCEED TO CHECKOUT button to move to the PayPal secure checkout website.  If you are buying a wig please double check that the colour shown is the colour that you require.

Please note that the delivery prices on this site are for UK delivery.  If you wish to purchase goods for delivery outside the UK then please read our Terms and Conditions page.

Stage 3 - Secure Payment, enter details

Once on the PayPal server you will need to enter a number of details in order to purchase by using debit or credit card.  If you are already a registered PayPal user then you can enter your username and password and then follow the PayPal instructions.  Otherwise you will need your email address, the Cardholder name and address, the card details and the Delivery name and address.  PayPal accepts payment for online orders by credit or debit card from all major UK cards and will also allow other payment methods such as eCheques.  Please follow the instructions presented by PayPal.  PayPal will forward the order and your contact details to us, but not the card details.

Please note that we reserve the right not to deliver to a Delivery Address that is different to the Cardholder Address, in which case we will consult with you at the email address you supply, and will refund any money paid if we do not resolve any concerns we might have.

Provided that your card is authorised you will receive an email from PayPal confirming your order.  We will also receive the order confirmation.  When we receive the order we will send you an email, during our normal working hours, to tell you.

If your card is not authorised we not receive the order.
